Camaria Wafer is a certified full spectrum doula and community advocate based in Detroit, Michigan, supporting families through birth, postpartum recovery, and pregnancy loss. After witnessing the gaps in care faced by families of color, she founded Shai Doula Services to provide trauma-informed, client-centered support rooted in bodily autonomy. Her services include prenatal, birth, and postpartum support, as well as birth photography and placenta encapsulation, and she's committed to access as a young leader in the Metro Detroit birth community, serving Medicaid clients and mentoring the next generation of birth workers.
