Kelly Nack
BIrth and Postpartum Doula
Hello!II believe birth is about so much more than welcoming a baby into the world.
It's also about the person becoming a parent.
My own journey into parenthood was anything but straightforward. After years of loss, infertility, and uncertainty, becoming pregnant brought both overwhelming joy and deep fear. Even as we passed milestone after milestone, I realized there was so much I didn't know about my body, birth, or what to expect.
I struggled to find my voice and communicate what I truly wanted for my experiences. Parts of my story felt like they simply happened to me, and that was difficult to process. Like many birthers, my pregnancy and postpartum seasons were also shaped by depression and anxiety, and I found myself needing more support than I ever imagined asking for.
Those experiences changed me.
They changed how I see myself and my body, how I view birth and parenting, and how deeply I understand the importance of feeling heard and supported during such a vulnerable and transformative time.
Through adoption, followed by a couple of surprise rainbow babies, my own little family eventually became complete. But my heart for birthwork was just getting started.
Today, I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and photographer with a background in graphic design, photography, and learning media design. I've spent years supporting people through meaningful life moments, first through education and photography, and now through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood.
I truly love supporting all birthers and their families through this enormous life transition. My own experiences have also given me a special heart for those navigating adoption, the foster care system, pregnancy loss, infertility, or a desire for an empowering birth experience grounded in trauma-informed care.
My goal is always the same: to make sure you feel seen, heard, informed, and fully supported every step of the way.
I believe there are no silly questions, especially in a world full of confusing and unreliable information. I'm here for you, not your house, so please don't worry about cleaning before I come over. And fair warning: if you start singing and I know the song, there's a very good chance I'll join in.
When I'm not supporting families, you'll probably find me learning something new about birth, babies, or parenting, reading everything from historical fiction to YA dystopian novels and books about witches and vampires, thrifting, practicing yoga, spending time outdoors with my three rambunctious kids, or enjoying coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.
And for what it's worth, I had my first baby at 40 and my last at almost 43, so the phrase geriatric pregnancy will probably always earn a pretty dramatic eye roll from me.
Supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum isn't just meaningful work to me. It's work I genuinely love.
And wherever your path has taken you, I would be honored to walk alongside you for the next part of the journey.
